Level 1 (Fundamentals) - American Tribal Style Bellydance
8-week session 
* MONDAYS 6:15-7:15pm, March 11-April 29, May 6-July 1 (no class on Memorial Day)

In this introductory class, students will learn the basics of FCBD-format American Tribal Style (ATS) bellydance. Fundamental movements and concepts will be covered including posture, transitions, formations, basic slow and fast moves, and how to lead and follow within a group.  Come to class wearing comfortable workout clothes (like yoga wear) and dance shoes or bare feet. You don't have to show your belly. We just want to learn, dance, and have a good time. Dancers of any size, age or dance experience welcome! Finger cymbals (zils) are recommended but not required for this class. Open to ages 14 and up - students under 18 require parent or guardian signature. Children under 14 are welcome if a parent, guardian, or responsible adult attends the class with them. 

Preregistration is recommended (register below). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first class for studio registration.

All Class Cards are good for three months from purchase and can be used on any TerraNova Tribal-taught class held at Amani Studio in Fayetteville. Payment is by cash, check, or credit/debit card (via Square), due at class time.

Level 2 - Intermediate American Tribal Style Bellydance
12-week session
* TUESDAYS 7:20-8:20pm,  May 7-July 23

Students will expand their repertoire of ATS movements and work with more complex transitions and formations. Finger cymbals (zils) are required. *Completion of ATS Level 1 or approval of the instructor is required. Call 479-222-1050 or email us to find out more.

Level 3 - ATS Advanced Choreography
Ongoing
 * MONDAYS 7:30-8:30pm

Students will continue to learn and drill tribal improv choreography and formations. This class may include floorwork and other specialty work such as sword and basket balancing. Finger cymbals (zils) are required.

Level 4 - ATS Improv Drills/Performance Prep
Coming in Summer

Students will drill the complete tribal improv vocabulary and all formations. This class may include floorwork and other specialty work such as sword balancing and veils, and will have a focus on performance prep. Finger cymbals (zils) are required. *Completion of ATS Level 3 or approval of the instructor is required.

Vintage Bellydance with Melanthia
May 14-June 4 (Tuesdays), 6:00-7:00pm

This special 4-week class will offer an introduction to Vintage Orientale/American Classic, the style of bellydance performed in U.S. nightclubs and restaurants in the 1960’s through the 1980’s. It’s a fusion of Turkish, Greek and Pan-Arabic dance with a lot of Hollywood glamour sprinkled in and a big emphasis on FUN!  This class is suitable for beginners, and intermediate dancers are guaranteed to learn some new (old school) tricks!
